Legendary country music singer Reba McEntire almost stopped singing after experiencing a significant loss in her life.

Over several decades, Reba McEntire has had a successful career. Over the years, she’s produced numerous hit songs, appeared in movies,

and had her own TV show. She nearly gave up music altogether, though. In 2020, her mother passed away, and like any parent, she was distraught.

Reba said in an interview on the Today Show that she nearly put down the microphone after her mother passed away, as shown in a YouTube clip.

Reba remembers having a talk when she was sorting through stuff at her parent’s house and assumed she was probably done with music.

Reba explained, ‘I was going through pictures and we were cleaning out the house, because I told Suzie

that we were.’ ‘I just don’t think I’m going to do this anymore,’ I remarked. What? said she. Sing, I said.

What justifies Reba’s consideration of quitting music? ‘I always did it for momma,’ the woman uttered.

Fortunately for all, Reba chose to continue her career in music, and she is currently a coach on the well-liked singing competition The Voice.

Jenna talked about losing her grandparents and her perspective on mourning later in the discussion.

She sees it as a gift rather than necessarily as an unwelcome emotion. Reba responded by saying that she agreed wholeheartedly with Jenna’s evaluation.

‘Definitely,’ replied Reba. It truly is a gift. You missed something if you were completely emotionless when they went. I totally agree with you.
