In the isolated forests of Maryland, a big black bear made the unusual and delightful decision to join a group of people enjoying a picnic.

In this incredible video Kaitlyn Nesbit posted on TikTok, a black bear can be seen sitting on a corner of the celebration.

He waited quietly and patiently for one of the men to feed him a peanut butter sandwich out of his hand.

Nesbitt was one of the onlookers who witnessed the occurrence at Deep Creek near the house her family rents, gasping in disbelief.

The bear was sitting next to them, and they kept making sandwiches for him, treating him like one of the group.

‘They said the bear is always around and never really bothers them,’ Nesbitt said, referring to a friend’s cabin.

We were all instructed to remain where we were and not to move abruptly because certain members of our group are accustomed to being in the outdoors.

The bear joined the four men and a lady having a picnic in the woods after emerging from the trees in quest of food.

The party was having a drink and some munchies while they watched the bear, which was hungry and waiting to be fed.

One of the guys decided to go fetch a loaf of bread and, just like you would tell a dog, he pointed with his finger to tell the bear to wait while he made the sandwich.

When the meal is finished, the man places it in front of the bear, who takes it gently out of his hand. ‘The mother eventually just walked back into the woods unharmed,’ Nesbit continued.
