Despite ‘negative comments’ about her appearance, a man marries the love of his life, going against the advice of his family.

No matter how two people look, they should be able to communicate their sentiments to one another, therefore love should have no borders.

Regretfully, not everyone has the same viewpoint. The grief that results when someone close to you tries to dissuade you from loving someone can be terrible.

This is what transpired with Bryan and Yesi, a couple who married despite the man’s family’s wishes and conquered all obstacles.

The couple discussed their courtship in an interview that was published in 2023 with Truly. Bryan and Yesi are in a ‘height difference relationship’

due to the fact that Bryan is five feet nine inches tall while his partner is barely two feet ten inches. Yesi was born with a form of dwarfism known as diastrophic dysplasia.

Despite the three feet that separate them, their love for one another has not diminished. ‘You should only date small people,’ people used to constantly advise me. Yesi stated, adding that all of

her prior relationships had involved people of normal height, and that she had never dated someone smaller.

In addition, Yesi battled the way society perceived her height, with some individuals treating her unfairly.

Bryan and Yesi connected online, and he’s never really given much thought to her appearance. Because

of her pictures, he had known from the beginning of their relationship that she was a small person.

When they eventually made the decision to be together, they had a great time. Yesi remarked, ‘He just made me feel at ease; I mean, I just knew that I could be myself 100%.’

They made the decision to move in together a year later, and they later got married. Even after being

married, the public continues to make disparaging remarks about them, with many presuming Bryan looks after Yesi.

Yesi continued, ‘I’ve noticed that most people assume he’s my caregiver, and I’m like, ‘No, he’s not my caregiver, he’s my husband.’’

While the majority of Yesi’s friends and family supported their relationship, a few close friends and family members made “mean comments” about them.

Bryan’s family wasn’t easy for him because he noticed that Yesi was “reserved about it” when he first told his mother Maggie about her height, but he emphasized that he still loved her.

Yesi was aware of the tension between the older woman and Bryan’s mom when they first met, but she

accepted it as she knew the older woman wasn’t the perfect person that “most mothers will want for their kids.”

Maggie approached Bryan and asked, ‘Are you sure you want to be with someone that you’re gonna wipe the butt for the rest of your life?” at one point.

Bryan claimed that as a result, he and his mother had not spoken for more than six months.

In the video, Maggie and Bryan had moved past this and were able to have frank conversations about the matter with Yesi and each other.

Maggie, a medical professional, explained that when she learned that Yesi need a wheelchair to some extent,

she was aware that eventually he would have to care for her full-time. This cleared up her initial disapproval of their connection.
