Since adopting Doris about two years ago, her family has come to the realization that, although she is relatively small, Doris definitely has strong opinions and ideas about things.
While Doris is ‘sweet, HILARIOUS,’ her mother Julie Watson told The Dodo that her daughter can also be ‘bossy and sassy in the best of ways.’ ‘She pretty much runs our whole house.’

When her adoptive family initially got her, they gave her a noisy bone. Doris was instantly in love with her new toy and slept with it every night.
One day, when at the grocery store with her mother, Doris saw the identical toy being sold and wanted to take it home.
Doris’s family felt they couldn’t say no because the item surely made her feel at ease and brought back memories of the day she was adopted.
Whenever she and her mother go on a walk, Doris always tries to entice her to go to the grocery store
so that she can buy another toy. Even though her mother only gives in around every two weeks, Doris would insist on going every day.
She possesses about 25 of these toys. however, if we permitted it, there would undoubtedly be more, according to Watson.

Because she uses every single bone she buys, Doris is deserving of recognition. She actually practically never plays with anything other than her bones.
‘We will attempt to play fetch with her indoors using a different toy, but she consistently goes back to her beloved squeaky bone that smells like bacon,’ stated Watson.

Because the toy was the first one her family ever got her, Doris, who adores them so deeply, believes that toy is all she needs.
