A kind and anonymous donor’s life-altering gift rendered a husband and father of four, whose family has recently faced hardship, speechless.
Sometimes, living is not enjoyable or fair. Everyone can and does experience difficult and stressful conditions for no apparent reason. Because of these challenging,
illogical, and apparently unfathomable circumstances in life, a small act of kindness—especially during the holiday season—can truly make a big impact.
A crew of journalists has been deployed to surprise Evan, as seen in a YouTube video. The man holding the microphone introduces himself as Evan, a husband and father of four children.
Since having a pacemaker replaced, Evan’s wife has been dealing with health problems. Epilepsy and autism are also present in one of Evan and his wife’s children.
As if that weren’t enough, the 2011 minivan has been giving the family problems lately, rendering it an unreliable mode of transportation.
However, as the film illustrates, despite everything, Evan—a full-time employee of Walmart—has been a pillar of support for his family.
In addition to providing financial assistance for the family, he also attends school full-time and is constantly helping out with the children.
Evan goes outside to the parking lot, as shown in the video. Initially, he receives a $1,000 check. The devoted, caring father and spouse finds it unbelievable that he would receive such a large gift.
But he’s practically rendered speechless when he finds out about his new wheels. Throughout the video, Evan struggles to express his feelings about this kind and giving present on several occasions.
Towards the end of the video, though, Evan is finally able to articulate his thanks and explain what this means for him and his family.
‘Many thanks! Evan, overtaken with emotion, exclaims, ‘This means everything to us.’
Even the most stoic person will burst into tears after seeing Evan’s sincere and touching reaction to the gift.
