He dug a huge hole and put 42 buses in it. You will be surprised to know why

Bruce Beach lived in Chicago until 1970. At the beginning of the Cold War, a man wondered what would happen as a result of a nuclear war. He decided to move to a quieter place and chose a quiet area.

For 5 years, the man bought more than 40 school buses and delivered them to the place of purchase. There he dug a big pit where he placed all the transport.

These buses are part of the shelter, which is located 4 meters underground and covers almost 1000 square meters.

The entire bunker is conventionally divided into many sections. So there is a male and a female half, a kitchen, a room with computers and other rooms.

Despite his good intentions, Bruce had to face various legal difficulties. The city authorities sued the man several times, but their demands were not met.

According to Beach, the purpose of such a bunker is to save humanity from disaster, which will contribute

to the restoration of civilization. The shelter can hold up to 500 people and is considered nearly impenetrable.

Having worked on his project for the past 35 years, he was fully prepared for a possible nuclear disaster. To this day, the man lives alone in this shelter.

It has successfully weathered several fires, rat infestations, vandalism and floods. At the same time, Bruce believes that he will be able to provide housing to all those in need.
