One 87-year-old man is utterly devoted to his Pomeranian, Dolly. A YouTube video demonstrates that the two close friends do almost everything together.

The elderly dog owner walks on the sidewalk at the start of the video. He cuddles the spoilt dog like a baby in his arms.

The dog clearly enjoys the therapy based on its happy expression and laid-back manner. However, Dolly’s gentle affection and care don’t really end there.

The video’s narrator, the old man’s daughter, says her father ‘spends four hours a day giving her massages.’

He always shares his food with the pampered but adorable little dog when he goes out to supper.
However, love is not one-sided. ‘Dolly is equally obsessed with my dad,’ the narrator says.

Watchers watch the old guy reading the newspaper as Dolly, needing his attention desperately, looks up at him with love.

The man’s daughter said, ‘My dad cannot sit peacefully in a chair with Dolly around.’

In the unlikely event that the guy leaves Dolly at home and goes somewhere, she will wait for him at the door with patience and loyalty, looking forward to his return.

The narrator of the film mentions near the conclusion that her father has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, but she still feels Dolly has been a blessing for him.

‘She provides us with a great deal of comfort and engages and amuses his mind,’ she remarked. ‘Without her, I don’t think he would be doing as well as he is now.’

Dolly’s elderly owner values her greatly.

The woman reported her father remarked, ‘Oh, it’s so nice to have someone that relies on me for a cuddle.’
