When fans saw Barry Manilow’s face was “not moving” during a performance, they accused him of having ‘too many Botox injections.’

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Barry Manilow was the son of Irish truck driver Harold Keliher and Russian Jewish mother Edna Manilow.

Edna forced her husband to alter his last name since she didn’t want their son to be called Kelliher.

Following a search of the family registry, they discovered Pincus, a Jewish uncle of Kelliher’s who lived in the 1800s, and Kelliher adopted his name.

Manilow’s parents split when he was a baby, but he legally changed his surname to Manilow just before his Bar Mitzvah.

Manilow’s passion for music began at a young age, and it was his strongest suit. He has also acknowledged that his stepfather and grandfather encouraged his passion in music.

He attended the New York College of Music to further his education in the area of his interest.

The musician worked as a paid employee of CBS while juggling his education. Later on, he studied

musical theater at the esteemed Juilliard Performing Arts School, which helped him expand his expertise.

In addition to writing songs for musicals, movies, and advertisements for companies like McDonald’s, Pepsi-Cola, and Band-Aid, he started his career as a commercial writer.

After working with Bette Midler on a nightclub show, the singer’s career took off. His hit songs, ‘Mandy,’ ‘Can’t Smile Without You,’

‘Somewhere Down the Road,’ ‘It Never Rains in Southern California,’ and many more, brought him respect and affection later in his career.

Manilow kept entertaining his admirers in 2023, but some said he appeared to be working too hard since they saw something strange about his face. See his photo by reading on.

In addition to his regular repertoire, Barry Manilow is well-known for his 1990 album ‘Because It’s Christmas,’

which features classic Christmas covers. His own versions of popular songs like ‘Jingle Bells,’ ‘Silent Night,’

‘Baby, It’s Cold Outside,’ ‘Joy to the World,’ ‘We Wish You a Merry Christmas,’ and many more may be heard on the tracklist.

He talked candidly about how the public is responding to his holiday special, ‘Barry Manilow’s A Very Barry Christmas,’ in an interview with Billboard.

It’s always met with great reception. I found a method to perform both my hits and Christmas music.

It oscillates between two points. It never ceases to feel like a Christmas production,’ he remarked.

Manilow entered the stage to perform Mariah Carey’s iconic hit ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You,’

but his rendition was quite different—he went with a jazzier and slower interpretation, according to an NBC News piece from that year.

Online users expressed their opinions about Manilow’s visage on social media after his performance was televised, accusing him of having cosmetic surgery.

One person said, ‘Barry Manilow’s plastic surgery and fake teeth scare me. His face is not moving, but his vocals are audible. 😂😂😩😩.

‘One person wrote, ‘Watching the NY tree lighting and I’m fairly certain Barry Manilow might have had one too many Botox injections.’ Another wrote, ‘Who stole Barry Manilow’s lips?’

Another person commented, ‘Barry Manilow looks like Martin Short playing Barry Manilow,’ pointing out that Manilow appeared to be a totally other star.

One person wrote, ‘Does Barry Manilow look Martin Short in an SNL skit?

Not all comments were critical; several people remarked, ‘Hey, man, lay off Barry Manilow!’ in support of Manilow. ‘He’s a symbol of America!’ someone published.

A user expressed her frustration with the graphic comments made against the musician by writing, ‘I’m seeing all these mean tweets about #BarryManilow.’

This year, I saw him perform live, and he was incredible—just as thrilling now as he was back in 1976.

About the plastic surgery, give the guy a break. Growing older is difficult enough without having to do it in public.

In a 2014 interview with Jonathan Ross that was published by OK! Magazine, Manilow discussed the claims of plastic surgery. He disclosed that he was simply ‘aging that way’and had never had any surgery.

But two years earlier, he acknowledged in an interview with the Irish Independent that he had tried Botox, but he didn’t like the way it looked.
