The magnificent lion father Tobias is meeting his cub for the first time. We were able to witness the touching moment when a 12-pound,
one-month-old lion cub saw his father for the first time because of the widespread use of social media. Since birth, the cub has only communicated with his mother, Neliah.

The adorable youngster was welcomed into the family as soon as everything was authorized.
Zookeeper Andrew Haertzen, who has previously worked with the cub’s pride, stated:
‘This process helps him know who his mom is and who his protector is.’ Going too fast can stunt his growth.

Since this is the mother’s third cub, the zoo had to decide whether to name him Tatu, which means three in Swahili, Meru, after a mountain in Tanzania, or Moremi, the name of a game reserve in Botswana.

The population of African lions has dropped by half throughout the past 25 years. The birth, in the opinion of
Denver Zoo vice president for animal care Hollie Colahan, will draw attention to the extremely low numbers of the species.
These lions play a major role in presenting the important story of what is happening to lions in the wild.
