demonstrates the extent of a father’s emotional distress upon learning that his son had received a college scholarship.

The touching and brief video opens with a young man telling his father, who is leaning against a chain-link fence,

the good news. He is dressed like a football player. He begins by informing his father that he will be changing his clothes.

The young man remarks, ‘You might as well buy some TSU shirts to represent at the games.’
But his father doesn’t pick up on what his son is attempting to tell him right away.

In response, the father says he will keep wearing what he has as it bears his son’s nickname.
The young man

tells his father the truth about his wonderful news and explains the purpose behind his idea for a t-shirt.

The son replies, ‘I know, but now you got a reason to rep TSU,’ to his father. ‘Because I receive a scholarship.’

The father has an emotional reaction as soon as the young man says those words. He picks the young man up off the ground and throws him a huge hug as he reaches over the fence.
