The legendary Dick Van Dyke, who is in his late nineties, has an amazing perspective on growing older.

The ‘Marry Poppins’ actor said that he still has a full life and even looks forward to going to work every day in a YouTube video.

Finding a career you love and would do anything for is truly a blessing, according to Dick. ‘I’m very sad for those who detest their employment. Every morning, I look forward to going to work.

Dick says he always makes new friends and keeps himself busy to help him not think about getting older.

He continued by saying that he still sings with his group, The Vantastix, and works out three days a week.

‘Taking care of your livelihood first,’ Dick said. and possess the guts to give it a shot. It’s acceptable to fail.

During the interview, Dick also reflected on his extraordinary career. Early on, according to the video,

Dick expressed his desire to only appear in movies that his kids could see and were suitable for the whole family.

He was subsequently chosen for roles in movies including Mary Poppins and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

Dick claims that he still receives fan mail from fans of those movies, the majority of whom are young people seeing those movies for the first time,

decades after they were initially produced. He claims that since the films’ first release, he has received more fan mail.

Dick also disclosed that he came close to portraying a renowned assassin with a gun license.

Dick remarked, ‘I could have been James Bond.’

He claims that after Sean Connery left those movies and that part, he was given consideration for the part.

‘The producers said, ‘Would you like to be the next Bond?’ when Sean Connery left. ‘Have you heard my British accent?’ I asked. stated Dick.
