After a secret fight with cancer, the actor passed away on Tuesday. Television actor Adan Canto, 42,
was most recognized for his roles in the series Narcos, The Cleaning Lady, and Designated Survivor. He passed away on Tuesday.
Apart from disclosing that Canto was not involved in the third season of The Cleaning Lady, where he portrays Arman Morales,
because of health issues, his agent also told The Hollywood Reporter that the actor was battling appendiceal cancer in private.
Adan possessed a depth of spirit that few people could truly comprehend. As per a statement provided to THR,
‘those who witnessed it were irrevocably transformed.’ ‘So many people will miss him terribly.’
In a statement was released following the actor’s passing, Warner Bros. and Fox Entertainment said, ‘We are heartbroken to learn of the passing of Adan Canto.’
Since his American television debut with The Following over ten years ago, it has been an honor to have him as a part of the Warner Bros. Television and Fox Entertainment family.
He is a priceless friend as well as a stunning performance. His most recent performance, in the movie The Cleaning Lady, was a breathtaking show of his talent, diversity, depth, and empathy.
He gave a performance that lighted up the screen. We grieve this unfathomable loss alongside his wife Stephanie, their kids, and other loved ones. We are all going to miss Adan a lot.
Italia Ricci, who portrayed Canto’s co-star on Designated Survivor, wrote on Instagram upon his passing, saying, ‘I’m completely lost for words.’
The author went on, ‘I am so angry that this happened because he was the strongest person I know in every sense of the word.’
The only person who even somewhat deserved this was this amazing, intelligent, kind, and compassionate guy.
Disregard the cancer. Screw it. I am deeply saddened for his family and would want to offer my sincere
sympathies to all those who are affected by this terrible loss. I will always hold a particular place in my heart for you.
In addition, Canto starred in three theatrical releases: X-Men: Days of Future Past, Bruised, and Agent Game.
Many people will miss him, including his two children, one-year-old Eve Josephine and three-year-old Roman Alder. His wife and creative partner, Stephanie Ann Canto, will also miss him.
