Witnessing people go above and beyond to assist animals in need is always encouraging. Two teenagers

from California intervened to save the lives of a litter of abandoned puppies after they came across them.

The Santa Clara Fire Department in California received a tap on their station door on January 7. A plastic bucket filled with newborn puppies was held by two young boys.

According to a department Facebook post, the puppies had been left on the side of the road and covered with a plastic lid.

According to reports, the temperature had ‘dropped significantly,’ endangering the lives of the dogs.

Fortunately, though, the two teenagers happened to come across the puppies and intervened to save their lives.

The boys traveled to many veterinary clinics, but they were all closed, so they went to the fire department.

After the fire team called Silicon Valley Animal Control, they showed up and took care of the puppies.

The Santa Clara Fire Department congratulated them for acting morally and tweeted the tale along with a picture of the lads grinning with the now-safe puppies.

‘We appreciate the assistance from these young people!’ they posted on Facebook. ‘We’re positive that the pups benefited from their decision to take action and seek assistance!’

The teens’ performance was also well-received by several commenters. One user remarked, “Acts of kindness

Another person wrote, ‘These boys are angels.’
