Imagine being at home in the middle of the night with your family, enjoying supper, a movie, or maybe going to bed, when all of a sudden, an odd old woman unexpectedly rings your doorbell. What would you do?
A user going by the handle ILLSTYLE posted a video on TikTok telling the tale of how his neighbor visited his house around 1:30 in the morning.
In the video, the elderly woman can be seen approaching his front door and repeatedly ringing the
doorbell until someone answers; the original poster clarified that at that point, everyone was asleep.
When the homeowner eventually walked outside to inquire about her needs, the woman still standing.
‘Could you possibly turn off the lights?’the elderly woman asked the man as soon as he emerged.
At first, the owner didn’t really get what she was talking about, telling her that it was early in the morning
and he had to go to work in a few hours. He continued by saying that he may call the police on her because of what she had done.
‘Yes, I am crazy because I’m so tired,” the elderly woman said in response to the man’s statement that she was crazy.
Later, when she told the man that she couldn’t sleep due of his house’s lights, she gave her explanation.
‘I feel like an old lady and I’m tired,’ she remarked. She stated she would be pleased to, but the homeowner
threatened to contact the police.
The officials ultimately showed up in the video to resolve the conflict later on.
The Robbie Harvey provided a video analysis of the incident, saying that after speaking with both neighbors and the police,
they determined that there was nothing wrong with the lights and that they should return to their beds.
The elderly woman returned on a subsequent day, and the two neighbors’ arguments continued. This time,
however, the homeowner chose to listen to the old woman instead of reporting the incident to the police.
The woman said, ‘Can you turn those lights off?” and said that she needed the lights that keep her up at night to be turned off.
After a brief dispute during which the guy clarified that none of the lights he was using should have been reflecting in her window,
they were able to come to an understanding because the man could now see that his elderly neighbor was a little puzzled.
‘All right, I’ll do you this: I’ll turn them off for you at ten o’clock.’ The man inquired, ‘Is that okay?’ to which the elderly woman answered.
In response, the homeowner said it was alright, and the woman clarified that she didn’t mean to be harsh with him. ‘I apologize. He said, ‘I want you to be my neighbor and I don’t mean to be a mean neighbor.’
The elderly woman might have needed some companionship, so the man later offered her to visit his home on his days off so they could share a bottle of wine on the patio.
The man gave the elderly woman a tender ‘I love you’ before she departed, giving the impression that their disagreement had been settled.
