People used to concentrate on the tallest woman in the world, but now they love her ‘beautiful’ smile and spirit.

Early in 2022, 24-year-old Gelgi was recognized as the world’s tallest woman living by Guinness World Records.

Gelgi is a native of Turkey’s Karabük area, where she mostly uses a wheelchair but also occasionally walks short distances.

A stretcher is necessary for longer trips. This is because Gelgi has Weaver Syndrome, which causes fast development

and bone maturation among other things. It is also the reason for Gelgi’s remarkably high stature.

‘Every disadvantage can be turned into an advantage for yourself so accept yourself for who you are, be aware of your potential, and do your best,’ Gelgi said after accepting her award.

She has held previous Guinness World Records. She was named the tallest teen in the world by the publication in 2014.

Since then, she has advocated for those with uncommon disabilities and shown them that it’s okay to stand out from the crowd by using her platform.

Gelgi said the following after setting her second world record:

‘It’s not as horrible as you think to be different. ‘I personally believe that differences and other features which seem like a disadvantage

can be turned into advantages if you want it and make the effort for it,’ the speaker continued. ‘It can bring you unexpected success.’ It’s precisely what I did.

The longest finger of a living female (4.40 inches), the largest female hands (right 9.81 inches and left 9.55 inches),

and the longest back for a female (23.58 inches) are among the three further Guinness World Records that Gelgi possesses.

People are still in awe of the woman’s beauty, which comes from her loving nature, despite the fact that

she is larger than average. Continue reading to find out more about Gelgi and the obstacles she overcame.

One of the difficulties she had encountered as a result of her illness was flying on an airplane. Gelgi was obviously excited when she shared on Instagram about her first flight.

She shared pictures of herself with other flight attendants, who also looked quite happy to be going with her.

She penned a letter of gratitude to everyone who made it possible for her to travel to the skies after landing.

‘faultless Turkish Airlines trip from beginning to end. She went on, ‘I have so many people to thank.’

‘Unfortunately, I was not able to learn the names of many of the individuals who organized a “first flight’ celebration above the

clouds and aided me for a total of 19 hours in the air, 13 of which were spent in the air. Although this was my first flight, it won’t be my last.

Gelgi’s parents instilled in her from an early age the belief that she was born with a syndrome rather than a disease and that nothing needed to be rectified.

‘This is simply who I am and how I was born. I never thought of myself as ill or experienced misery because of this strategy.

It also made it easier for me to handle all the hurtful things bullies said to me,” she admitted.
Since she was a little child, Gelgi has battled and conquered bullies while using a wheelchair.

When the then-27-year-old revealed that she will be featured in LadBible’s ‘That’s My Beauty’ in December 2023, she was inundated with supportive messages.

One user commented, ‘So wonderful, so beautiful, noble👏😍,’ while another, ‘Awwwwwn you are so pretty so love your eyes you are one gorgeous woman 😍,’ agreed.

‘You look stunning! Someone said, ‘I’m not sure whether I could act either.
