A kind-hearted elderly couple discovers that their son has transformed his basement entertainment room into a cozy new home for them both… Take a look at the video below…

We all start thinking about where our parents can live as they are older. If their safety at home is compromised, we have to think about senior housing.

This is easier said than done because the majority of nursing homes are pricey, and even for

those of us who can afford them, there’s always anxiety about whether the patients are getting quality care.

Schon noticed that his parents were getting weaker and started to wonder where they may live when they became old.

George Miller and Bonnie were both eighty-seven years old. Bonnie and he were both beginning to lose things when she fell and injured her shoulder.

Schon understood he had to take action quickly because he was so worried about them. Then, when he showed his parents their new room, he came up with a plan that made them cry.

Schon was worried about his mother, who had fallen and was now in a wheelchair, and his father, whose memory was failing.

The devoted son of the Bremen, Ohio, couple started looking into other options as he didn’t want to put them in a nursing home.

Schon explained to me, ‘We didn’t want either of them to end up in a nursing home because one can’t live alone without the other.’

Schon clarified that they had thought about relocating to a home with a separate room for the mother-in-law after his mother fell and hurt her shoulder.

The considerate couple came up with the most brilliant solution when they were unable to find anything for their elderly parents.

In order to take care of them, Schon explained, ‘we decided to blow a hole in the basement wall, get rid of our fun stuff like the pool table, instruments, and karaoke area, and move them in.’

Schon and Jeannie set a great example for us all on how to help our parents in return for everything that they have done for us.
