It’s going to be revealed what Bryan Cranston, who has been married to Robin Dearden for 34 years, has been concealing to himself.
The 67-year-old actor used the occasion to chat exclusively to PEOPLE at the Wednesday London premiere of his most recent movie, Argylle.
He talked about how he wanted to spend more time with his 70-year-old wife, with whom he has shared more than thirty years of marriage.
‘Marrying the right person,’ in Cranston’s words, is the secret to his successful marriage to actress Dearden (1989).
This is what Cranston told PEOPLE. “In my opinion, there are five qualities you should look for in a mate.
It makes no difference what those five things mean to you—you need them. You should then continue on. There can never be a situation in which we completely agree with one another.
The following is another quote from Cranston: ‘You don’t go shopping with your wife?’ My answer is ‘No!’ How could I possible make that happen?
It does not appeal to me! It’s just not something I enjoy doing, and she doesn’t seem to like the same things that I do.
They first connected on the set of the 1980s television series Airwolf. Their daughter Taylor, who is currently thirty years old, was born to them. The couple married on July 8, 1989.
Cranston also revealed to PEOPLE that he plans to take a year off from acting in 2026. He claimed that one of the main reasons he made the decision was to spend more time with Dearden.

When questioned about whether spending more time with his wife was a part of that, Cranston replies, ‘Yes! She appeals to me. She is an amazing woman who has been married for thirty-five years.
Among the many things that Cranston is focused on during his working hours is the promotion of Argylle, the upcoming espionage thriller in which he plays Ritter.
In a People interview, Cranston declared, ‘I love being a villain,’ indicating how much he relished the role.
It’s really enjoyable. To put it plainly, it brings me great satisfaction to be able to control the fate of another person’s world and existence.

Cranston said that Henry Cavill, Dua Lipa, Samuel L. Jackson, Ariana DeBose, John Cena, and director Matthew Vaughn were the ones who persuaded him to sign a contract for the movie.
Cranston also says that each of these actors contributed to the movie’s creation.

and he never plays it safe, and I like his kind of filmmaking.’ ‘I appreciate that style of filmmaking.’

The film centers on Bryce Dallas Howard’s character Elly Conway, a reclusive author of a string of best-selling espionage novels. According to a synopsis,
Elly and her real-life spy, Sam Rockwell, race ‘across the world to stay one step ahead of the killers as the line between Elly’s fictional world and her real one begins to blur.’
Argylle will be available for viewing in theaters around the nation on February 2.
