It’s difficult to imagine any beauty with as many well-known features as Julia Roberts, the cover star of Vogue for February 2024.
Not only does Roberts have wide, gorgeous smiles that serve as a model for orthodontists, but she also has pre-Raphaelite auburn curls, thick, feathery brows, and an almost poster-child smile.

Roberts is arguably the most famous celebrity to have shown off their natural armpits in public, even though Sophia Loren was the first to do so as early as the 1950s.
This is partly because of the controversy her hirsute appearance at the 1999 Notting Hill premiere created, as well as the fact that it sparked outrage.
People noticed that I had underarm hair as I waved. In the Life in Looks video that goes with her cover of the February 2024 issue of British Vogue, she wryly remembers, ‘It was a scandal.’
Although Roberts has stated that she was just being herself and that there was no deliberate plan behind the attention (or column inches) that her armpits garnered,

the significant red carpet event may be seen as setting the stage for the much more lenient views on body hair that exist today.
Although few would object to a Gen-Z woman giving up shaving in 2024, Roberts was a bit of a pioneer in 1999 even though she wasn’t trying to be one.
Thankfully, 25 years later, Roberts remains authentic. ‘I could scandalize you people right now if I took my jacket off,’ she jokes in the video.
