This mother will do anything to show her daughter that she is lovely despite having an unusual birthmark.

Little Winry Hall had congenital melanocytic nevi, or CMN, from birth. This is a very uncommon blemish because of the atypical growth of pigment cells.

The 13-month-old is somewhat unique from other babies because of this. What her mother Nicole Hall initially believed to be a facial bruising turned out to be a sizable mole of some kind.

Rather than attempting to hide her child’s birthmark, Hall is now dedicated to ensuring her kid is aware of her own beauty.

According to Good Morning America, the mother uses social media to inspire people to rethink conventional beauty standards and to spread awareness of CMN.

In an interview with the media source, Hall claimed, ‘I thought it was a bruise when they first handed her to me.’

‘My spouse and I [then] immediately knew that it was not a bruise. I also felt it resembled a mole, which is why I liked the name.’

Drs. Harper Price of Phoenix Children’s Hospital and Heather Etchevers of Marseille Medical Genetics reported

to the National Organization for Rare Diseases that CMN can result in light brown to black patches.

It can also show up in a variety of forms, affecting almost any shape or size of space on the body.

The mother said, ‘I prefer to share since, for many, this is the first time they’ve seen a birthmark like hers.

This is an excellent topic for parents to have with their kids to show them that kids are different,

or for parents who have a child who resembles Winry or has a birthmark of any kind to see their child represented.’

Using social media, she spreads the message to others that, like tiny Winry, being ‘different’ can be a strength.

This little joy has already met people with similar superpowers from all around the world. ‘We’ve got to talk to several people from Brazil with birthmarks,’ Hall said.

‘One of them has one that is almost identical to Winry and it’s been so fun to talk to her because she’s almost exactly my age.’

But there are also certain issues to be aware of. The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia states that Winry may be more susceptible to melanoma as a result of her CMN.

Hall worries more about how often her daughter will be bullied as she gets older, but she still takes extra care to ensure her child’s safety and well-being.

The mother said, ‘Her happiness and health are our top priorities.’ ‘We need to watch her when applying sunscreen.

When it comes to headgear and such, I take precautions. I am aware that as we get older, our dermatologist will likely become our best friend.’

Hall is especially taken with Winry’s character as she and her mother-daughter team take on the world together.

She remarked, ‘She just exudes happiness. She laughs or screams virtually all the time. I have never seen a happier baby than hers. She already talks a lot.

We haven’t spoken much yet, but she’s honest with you and showing signs of sassiness, so I predict that things will grow serious quickly.’
