Over the years, innumerable musicians have graced the ‘The Voice’ stage, and the majority of them have not let us down.
However, a surprise performance by famed musician Sir Tom Jones that honored his late wife with a moving speech has left everyone in tears.
Jones is a well-known Welsh singer who has been wowing audiences with his amazing vocals since the mid-1960s.
With hits including ‘It’s Not Unusual,’ ‘Delilah,’ and ‘She’s A Lady,’ Jones’ exquisite musical skill has won the hearts of many.
Throughout his many years in the music business, he has sang about love and heartbreak, and his rich, deep voice makes for the ideal baritone sound.
It should come as no surprise that Jones, who was born on June 7, 1940, in South Wales, became passionate about soul music as a child because he grew up listening to artists like Little Richard,
Elvis Presley, and Brook Benton. He sang everywhere, in the school chorus, at weddings, and at family get-togethers.
As a result, he eventually became the front man for Tommy Scott and the Senators, a beat group, in 1963.
In addition to his famous career in music, Jones has demonstrated his acting prowess and hosted his own television program,
‘This Is Tom Jones.’ In recognition of his extraordinary contributions to the arts, Queen Elizabeth II knighted him in 2005.
Since 2012, Jones has been a judge on ‘The Voice UK,’ a competition series, with the exception of 2016. This has caused him to resurface as a major figure in the business for the past ten years.

In addition to finding success throughout his lengthy career, Jones also found love. He wed Linda, also known as Melinda Rose Trenchard, on March 2, 1957, and she passed away on April 10, 2016.
Jones grew up in Pontypridd, South Wales, where he and his wife first met. In essence, they were childhood sweethearts.
When his wife became unwell, he decided to take a break from touring and appearing on ‘The Voice UK’
since he loved her so much. The pair were married for 59 years when Trenchard passed away in 2016 from lung cancer.
Their nearly 60-year marriage is a testament to the record books; despite disagreements about Jones’ supposed philandering, the couple never wavered in their love for one another.
Following Trenchard’s passing, Jones talked candidly about how much he missed and valued his wife.
Then, in 2019, after a contestant’s performance on ‘The Voice UK,’ Jones found himself missing his late wife and decided to share his deep feelings with the world.
Tom Jones discussed a talk he had with his late wife in a 2021 interview with PEOPLE.

While there have been reports that Jones and Priscilla Presley, Elvis Presley’s ex-wife, are allegedly dating,
Jones stated in a 2017 interview with The Sun that he will not be married again.‘I’m still working on moving past that. The last thing he thought about was getting married, as he didn’t think he ever would.
However, he made it apparent that Priscilla and he are merely friends. He told PEOPLE, ‘We go out to dinner, but we’re not dating.’
In an interview with PEOPLE, he gave an explanation of his decision not to marry, saying that he doesn’t have the same history with anyone else as he did with his late wife.
Jones stated, ‘I was asked the other day if I would ever get married again. ‘There is no history with anyone else, so I couldn’t.’
Jones paid tribute to Trenchard by performing ‘I Won’t Crumble With You If You Fall’ on “The Voice’ in September 2022.
He remarked, ‘This song is really important to me right now.’ ‘I try to listen to music that I really connect with.’
And this song is attempting to convey to you that sometimes the people you care about need to have your support,’ he continued. ‘You have to be strong and supportive for them,’ he said.
When Jones sang the poignant ballad, his fellow judge Anne-Marie couldn’t help but be moved.
Bernice Johnson Reagon is the author of ‘I Won’t Crumble With You If You Fall.’ The song was first released in 1975 on the album “Give Your Hands To Struggle: The Evolution Of A Freedom Fighter’ by Johnson Reagon.
