In a video instructional, astronaut Karen Nyberg discusses hair maintenance while in decreased gravity.Karen explains, ‘I get asked all the time how I wash my head in space.’

I start by distributing hot water to the hair’s roots. I attempt to catch the falling drops in order to preserve the water.

The woman doesuses herself in permanent shampoo. She distributes it along the full length using combs and massaging motions. She can handle dirt better with a towel.

Karen then gives her hair a little towel blot after rinsing it. Nevertheless, since there aren’t as many of them aboard.

The evaporated moisture will become drinking water as the hair dries thanks to the air conditioning system. Fantastic!
