‘A Woman’s Creative Adventure’. Transforming a $1,900 Old RV Into a Cozy Dream House on Wheels…Video

Not everyone want to have a large home with a substantial mortgage. There are some individuals who would rather live a life that is less complicated and more liberating.

One woman was able to accomplish this by purchasing an older recreational vehicle.
Using Craigslist,

Jessy Muller was able to purchase a 1978 Dodge Commander for the low price of $1,900. Even though

it was old and in a worn-out condition, she continued to see potential in it. She had the desire to breathe new life into it.

She started by changing the inside. She swapped out the outdated camper seating for useful, compact furniture.

She desired a small, open living area that felt unrestricted and uncomplicated. She turned the RV into a cozy, personalized home with a flip table and clever storage options.

Jessy opened her RV to ‘Tiny Home Tours’ a number of years ago. To preserve the heritage of the RV, she left

the original 1978 shag carpet in the driver’s seat. To add more sleeping space without congealing the living room, she designed a drop-down bed.

Jessy had good utility management skills. She employed a solar power system with golf cart batteries and

replaced the outdated lighting with energy-efficient LED fixtures. This demonstrated her environmentally conscious attitude while also saving money.

Craigslist provided the new countertop and sink that gave the kitchen a makeover. She solved the fridge’s problem quite fast. She fixed a frequent RV problem by adding child locks on cabinets.

In the bathroom, Jessy installed a roomy shower and swapped out the old toilet for a composting one.

This adjustment was made for sustainable living as well as comfort. She covered the former toilet area with repurposed slats, one of her inventive solutions.

Jessy had the walls and ceiling in the bedroom renovated because there was a lot of water damage.

She created a platform bed with storage beneath it. An upcycled vanity provided sophistication.

It was a year-long voyage of self-discovery and education for Jessy as she transformed her RV, which she christened Mandor.

She didn’t know how to do carpentry, electrical work, or plumbing, but she overcame obstacles by learning from her mistakes and being persistent.
