It’s Jackie’s 70th birthday today, as several of my friends have been reminding me even before today.

‘Every time I hear this number, my pulse slows down for a moment—I’m already seventy years old? The second thought that would cross my mind after getting over the shock is something my older brother Sammo Hung once said:

‘being able to grow old is a fortunate thing.’ We stunt people in particular are unaware of how fortunate we are to be able to age.

Many of my friends were worried about my health when they viewed some of my most recent images online not so long ago, he stated in the message.

‘I would like to use this chance to reassure everyone that they need not worry! It’s merely a cameo in my most recent film. I have to look old and have white hair and a white beard in order to play the part.

‘I’ve always been open to trying new things for a film throughout the years, whether it’s a difficult stunt or a character’s big screen debut.

Having worked in the entertainment industry for 62 years, I consider myself fortunate to be filming even now, therefore I treasure every second of it.
