The world-famous tenor Luciano Pavarotti loved to eat, savoring his favorite pasta even during breaks between arias.

According to Page Six, the late Luciano Pavarotti had snack bars in several corners of the Metropolitan Opera House.

According to the source, during the tour of the Metropolitan, its legendary director Peter Gelb told the guests:

‘Pavarotti, who had an insatiable appetite, often kept his favorite pastas hidden away so he could savor them during aria breaks.’

Pavarotti rose to fame in the US in 1972 when he performed La Fille Du Régiment at Lincoln Center, and reportedly ‘drove the crowd crazy with his high notes’.

In 1976, Pavarotti began a diet, allowing him to consume 1,800 calories a day. ‘That’s one-sixth of what I eat,’ he told the Times.
