Dolly Parton has decided to miss her tour schedule in order to spend more time with her husband.

The renowned 77-year-old country music icon Dolly Parton has made the decision to no longer embark on major tour dates.

She stated in a recent interview that she will no longer be doing complete tours, only infrequent appearances at festivals or event weekends.

Dolly, a well-known figure in the entertainment world, intends to concentrate on her songwriting and spend more time with her husband, Carl Thomas Dean.

The pair tied the knot in 1966 after meeting in 1964. They chose to reaffirm their vows since they recently marked their 50th wedding anniversary.

Dolly clarified that she would much rather remain at home with her husband, especially as they both age, because touring takes a lot of time.

She talked about her previous health issues, such as her 1982 stage collapse from endometriosis, a disorder that affects the lining of the womb.

Dolly is currently writing new songs, especially rock n’ roll, for her husband, who adores that genre, in place of touring.

She also appears in the upcoming NBC special ‘Dolly Parton’s Mountain Magic Christmas’ and the film ‘Run, Rose, Run,’ which stars Reese Witherspoon.

Dolly wants to enjoy her life and take things easy, even with her famous fame. She want to treasure her time spent with loved ones and is appreciative of the support.
