When did we last chuckle with Carroll O’Connor’s Archie and Jean Stapleton’s Edith from All in the Family?
Recently, a fantastic episode from Season 6, Birth of the Baby: Part 2, aired again, making fans happy and nostalgic.
Gloria is caught in traffic after first becoming stranded in a phone booth. Archie and Edith are at the hospital

anticipating the arrival of their granddaughter in the middle of this high-stakes comedy of errors, and their enthusiasm is palpable.
While she waits nervously, Edith starts to get hungry. As she chews into a chicken drumstick, she remarks that it’s terrible.
She’s not talking about the chicken, so don’t worry. Her odd but charming guilt over indulging in snacks while
anticipating the big announcement. Though she ought to be worried, she isn’t. Edith is timeless!

Considering that Mike can’t even get his wife Gloria out of a phone booth, Archie wonders what he’s up to in the delivery room.
He receives gentle reassurance from Edith that Mike is helping Gloria with the delivery. Mike’s ability to give birth is questioned by Archie, who never passes up an opportunity to crack a joke.
Edith wishes Archie had been there for Gloria’s birth. In response, Archie tells her that he was there for her when it counted.
It’s a charming and surprisingly passionate moment. It’s a beautiful look into their continued friendship despite everything going wrong.

Edith states that she is concerned about not worrying at that point. Archie tells her, ‘I think you’re gonna make one hell of a grandma,’ in a rare show of affection.
Soon after, Edith sheds joyful tears that perfectly capture the essence of their voyage together—a blend of love, humor, and tender moments.
More than merely a sitcom, All in the Family skillfully captures the highs and lows of life as well as the humor.
It also serves as a gentle reminder of how this classic comedy never fails to uplift and amuse us, one hilarious episode at a time.
