Dad has been taking weekly photos of his daughter for the past 20 years in order to produce this stunning timelapse film.

It’s something that parents frequently tell you. ‘I long to stop time and preserve my children’s youth forever.’

As parents, we long for a more carefree period in our kids’ lives. It is imperative for parents to acknowledge that their offspring will grow up and become adults.

One Dutch father made a special choice to illustrate his daughter’s growth. Frans Hofmeester,

a Dutch filmmaker, had the brilliant idea to take a picture of his daughter every week of her life, starting when she was a newborn and ending when she turned 20.

The end products are just amazing. It’s amazing to see how this young woman has changed over the past 20 years—from a helpless newborn to a confident adult.

Frans Hofmeester has a creative imagination, as evidenced by this original method of preserving a simpler time, when his daughter was a newborn. This project must have required a great deal of endurance.

For a long time, parents have been worried that their kids are growing up too fast. Frans Hofmeester came up with a special and elegant technique to look back on the past that would always evoke happy recollections.
