Maya Gough is a name we’re sure to hear about more and more in the future. The Welsh singer was just 12 years old at the time,

but she mastered the Whitney Houston classic for her 2015 Britain’s Got Talent audition. Maya, who made her whole family sick, gave a powerful rendition of Whitney Houston’s iconic song ‘I Have Nothing.’

After this performance, many said that she could win the competition. Maya admitted to the judges that Whitney has always been her idol.

The judges were incredibly impressed with Maya’s performance and all gave positive feedback. Amanda Holden, for example, stated: ‘I don’t think you really know your strength.

You are an ordinary little girl, you have an ordinary family, but when you sing, something extraordinary comes out of Your soul.’

David Walliams added: ‘Wow! Incredible. Such a strong voice for such a small girl.’ For such a young girl, Maya has an exceptionally mature voice and can control her musical talent like a true professional.

It was clear from the outcry and fruitfulness at the end that the publication liked it too! Simon Cowell also showed his support after her second appearance, saying:

‘You decided to sing one of Whitney’s simplest songs. It took courage, but it worked. I liked the fact that I could actually hear you: I could hear the Welsh melody.
