When young Jaxon Carter gave a speech at his kindergarten graduation, thanking his mother who had passed away for her hard work, good grades, and spelling bee success, not a single person in the room was unmoved.
Two months after the 6-year-old’s “beautiful mommy,” Taryn Marie Gainey, perished in an apartment fire in 2022, he enrolled in a STEM-focused public kindergarten.
Everything was new: the school was new, there were new people, new rules, and new concepts to learn; life had adopted an unpleasant aspect of novelty.

However, Jaxon overcame all obstacles, and when his time at New Dawn Academy was drawing to a close, the school asked him if he could give a brief speech during the Kindergarten graduation ceremony.
Jaxon’s father, Justin Carter, claims that he collaborated on the speech behind his grandmother’s back and that by the time the ceremony rolled around, it had grown into a comprehensive farewell speech.
Jaxon paused to take a deep breath after saying, ‘When I started kindergarten at New Dawn Academy in August 2022, I was a little 5-year-old who had lost my beautiful mother a month before.’
“I gained knowledge on how to use my school tablet, interact with other children, read books, respond to or pose inquiries about how or why, and use proper grammar.
My kindergarten year gave me the opportunity to develop my courage, intelligence, kindness, and gratitude. He continued by expressing his gratitude to his grandparents, father, and teacher.

“To my beautiful mommy, who I will always love and miss so very much, I dedicate my speech, good grades, all school awards, and my Kindergarten graduation,” he added.
“I know she’ll always hold a special place in my heart.” Everyone who listened was astounded by the speech, and thunderous applause met it shortly after.
