Aside from the heartwarming moment when the bride and groom ultimately exchange vows, there are other moments throughout the day’s events that are especially meaningful.

One of those moments is when the bride walks down the aisle, usually with her father by her side. It occurs when a father literally passes his young daughter off to her future husband as he takes her down the aisle.

This touching wedding moment between a father and his daughter is captured in a YouTube video. However, given the bride’s father is suffering stage 4 pancreatic cancer, this one was particularly memorable.

Originally, the young woman’s wedding was supposed to take place in a few more weeks. But considering his health, the father didn’t think he would live to see his daughter girl get married.

In order to enable the father to accompany his daughter down the aisle and witness her marriage, a California hospital set to work. In order for the couple to exchange vows in the hospital chapel, certain arrangements had to be made.

That wasn’t all, though. The man is limited to a wheelchair due to his severe health condition. A nurse followed him with an IV stand so he could walk with his daughter down the aisle.

Everyone involved will probably remember that lovely moment of love, compassion, and charity for years to come. This video demonstrates once more what makes physicians, nurses, and other healthcare workers unique individuals.
