When this boy hugged his baby brother for the first time after his intensive care, no one expected from him to do such a thing…

A touching moment of a big brother serenading his new baby sibling was captured on camera. Rayce Powell, 6, was ecstatic to welcome the newest member of his family.

Tripp had to stay in the intensive care unit for a while because he was born with Down syndrome and had to have surgery.

Rayce and the rest of the family visited Tripp every day while he was in the hospital, according to Tripp’s mother Nicole Powell, who spoke to Good Morning America. Rayce and Tripp connected right away, and they even came up with a tune to sing together.

The lyrics to the country duo Dan + Shay’s song ‘10,000 Hours’ were sung by this ecstatic big brother to his adoring little brother.

‘I’d put in 10,000 hours and 10,000 more.’ Oh, if that’s what it takes to learn that wonderful heart of yours, I’ll try my hardest even though I might never succeed.

I’m going to adore you whether it lasts for ten thousand hours or the rest of my life. Every time it played, he would simply tell Tripp, ‘This song is for you,’ Nicole recalled. Nicole was able to record a portion of one of these tender serenades.

She uploaded the video and then went to sleep. However, the video had over a million views when she awoke, and hearts all around the world were bursting with love for the adorable siblings.

Tripp was discharged from the hospital on Christmas Eve after a couple weeks there. This lovely family can now keep singing for years to come!
