One of the most popular couples in Hollywood is Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively. They have good comedic timing and
are well recognized for taking frequent shots at one another on social media. When Reynolds and his girlfriend first met,
they were just friends because they were already dating other people when they were on the set of the DC Comics science fiction movie ‘Green Lantern’ in 2010.
Lively was dating actor Penn Badgley at the time, while Reynolds was already married to Scarlett Johansson, an actress.
However, Lively and Badgley’s romance ended in October of that same year, while Reynolds and Johansson confirmed their separation in December of that same year.
Through this time, Lively and Reynolds remained friends. To combat their loneliness in their single life,

‘We were both single about a year after ‘Green Lantern’ came and went and all that stuff. We went on two separate dates.
She was out with a different man, and I was out with a different woman,’’ Reynolds said in 2016. We were like fireworks coming across, so it was like the most embarrassing date for the various parties.
Reynolds made it abundantly evident that their friendship aided their romance. ‘We were buddies for a long time, which I think is the best way to have a relationship, to start as friends,’ he remarked.
After divorcing Johansson, Reynolds struggled with depression and found it difficult to trust in love, but Lively helped him mend his wounded heart.

Lively did not simply teach her husband about parenting. The ‘Red Notice’ actor revealed in 2017 that Lively

Just two years after their wedding, Reynolds and Johansson got divorced, and the actor found it difficult to move on.
‘Anyone who gets divorced goes through a lot of pain, but you come out of it,’ he reportedly said at the time to Us Weekly. ‘I’m still not over it. At all.’

However, rumors of a relationship between the two first surfaced in October 2011 around the time of the actor’s 35th birthday.
Lively joined him in celebrating his birthday over the weekend; they were spotted outside a Boston apartment building with their canines. At the time, Reynolds was in ‘R.I.P.D.’on set.
The couple’s relationship was confirmed at the time by a close friend, as they admitted:They genuinely are a couple. They are very content together.
