Kate Winslet reflects on her experience with post-Titanic fame, describing it as a challenging period.

Titanic star Kate Winslet discussed how not everything about her celebrity was positive. After its 1997 release,

she claimed that interacting with the media was difficult. Her life was terrible since she was expected to perform or look a specific way by others.

She could have accomplished great things after the Titanic, according to journalists, but she opted for minor endeavors. Winslet clarified that she genuinely hated becoming famous.

Though there are moments when she wants to hide, particularly when she’s on a boat, she also said that Titanic still brings joy to a lot of people.

Winslet has previously discussed her notoriety following the Titanic. She discussed in 2021 how she was subjected to a lot of criticism over her beauty and felt harassed by the British media.

Winslet discussed her connection with Titanic co-star Leonardo DiCaprio despite their differences. She claimed that DiCaprio and her got along well on set and that it was enjoyable to be around him.
