An Unknown Hero Saves the Life of an 88-Year-Old Lady, and the Two Become Best Friends

The elderly are the best sources of life guidance due to their extensive life experiences and knowledge.

Honor your elders

Our parents instilled in us a respect for seniors. But, given everything they’ve been through and how they continue to influence our lives with their wisdom, they do deserve our respect.

Barbara Kimbro, an 88-year-old resident of Columbus, Georgia, was traveling to see a friend when she ran out of gas.

She pulled into the closest gas station, pumped her gas, and then entered to collect a receipt.

She decided to take the chance of walking without her walker, but as soon as she started to walk, she lost her balance and nearly collapsed.

JaQuan Sanks, a 27-year-old who was holding the door for Barbara, was there fortunately, and he moved quickly to catch Barbara before she fell.

JaQuan had earned Barbara’s undying gratitude. She gave him a full tank of gas as payment for his kind deed. He literally saved my life, the woman remarked.

Because he couldn’t have waited any longer, and if he had, I would have already been falling, I simply felt that it was a divine time.

The elderly woman expressed gratitude to JaQuan for saving her life. She published details of their interaction on Facebook, where many people were also able to see it thanks to JaQuan’s sharing.

JaQuan eventually made the choice to go see Barbara at the nursing home. He thanked her for transforming

his life through the Facebook post that went viral by bringing her flowers and a shirt similar to his.
