Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman shared heartfelt messages on social media to commemorate their 16th wedding anniversary.

In order to recognize the important day, the 55-year-old Oscar winner shared a one-of-a-kind snapshot from the couple’s fictitious wedding on Instagram.

Thanks, XVI. Remember this like it was yesterday,’ the image’s caption read. It showed a happy couple holding candles at their 2006 church wedding in Manly, Australia.

Kidman ended her statement with the word ‘forever’. Happy Sweet 16 Baby xxxxx was written beside a photo that Urban posted to Instagram.

Urban recently shared a heartfelt photo on his social media platforms in honor of his wife’s 55th birthday.

‘Happy birthday, babygirl,’ read the message that was posted with the picture of the singer kissing her on the head as they celebrated her big day.

Despite the fact that on the surface they appear to be the ideal match, Kidman and Urban have faced challenges throughout the course of their relationship.

Urban discussed his ongoing battle with alcohol and how helpful his wife has been during this period. In 1998, he admitted himself to a treatment center.

‘I had to change how I interacted with the world around me. I’m glad to find that none of the qualities

of my music have been altered. I wrote some songs that were hits while intoxicated. I wrote a lot when I wasn’t drunk. I’m glad that it hasn’t affected my ability to be creative.

To express his thanks to Kidman, the mother of his two daughters Faith Margaret, 11, and Rose, 13,

with whom he shares a home, he even went so far as to pen the song ‘Thank you,’ which expresses the same notion.
