Drena De Niro’s son Leandro De Niro Rodriguez went unexpectedly; the actress announced his death on Instagram late on Sunday night. Robert De Niro, a renowned actor, is Drena’s father.

The 51-year-old actress said this in a poignant message: ‘My sweet precious angel. I have loved you in

a way that cannot be fully expressed in words since the first moment I felt you moving around inside of me.

‘You have always been the wellspring of my joy, my heart, and everything true and real in my life.

I sincerely wish I could be with you at this moment. I wish I could be with you right now. I don’t know how I’m going to go through life without you,

but I’m going to try my best to keep going and spread the love and light that you gave me by letting me be your mother.

Since you were so genuinely loved and adored, I wish that love could have saved you on its own.
‘I’m so sorry my baby,’ Drena said as she concluded her tribute to Leandro.

She also mentioned Leandro’s artist father, Carlos Mare. Drena gave no further details regarding Leandro’s demise. ‘My sweet boy, may you always be at peace in the eternal paradise.’

Messages of condolence from Drena’s friends and family were abundant on the comments section of her

website, including one from the director Lee Daniels, who wrote, ‘Drena, may GOD keep you in his arms.’

Rosie Perez, an actress, added her thoughts and said, ‘Shocked!’ I sincerely sorry! Everyone in this room is here to help you! I adore you more than enough! I apologize.

Drena shared some sweet photos of herself and her boyfriend Leandro, who played a part in the 2018 remake of

the A Star Is Born movie, on Mother’s Day. She wrote, ‘Today was a good day,’ as the photo’s caption.
