The bride surprises everyone by having six police officers stand behind the groom right before she begins her speech.

Speeches are often given at weddings, both by the bride and groom and by members of the groom’s and bride’s families. One couple finally decided to treat their wedding guests with the dignity they deserved.

After the bride and groom had made it down the aisle and said their vows to one another, it was time to celebrate.

The venue was filled to capacity with their friends and family, and the decorations and flowers added to the beauty of the occasion.

Finally, it was the bride’s turn to take the podium and give the speech she’d been planning for months.

Six cops from the law stood behind her husband as she read the heartfelt message she had saved on her phone.

Instead of simply gushing about her husband in words, she took action.

She announced to the assembled guests that her husband is a police officer, and that the six men standing

behind him weren’t just regular visitors, but rather the men who put their lives on the line every day alongside him.

Being a police officer is a difficult profession. They put themselves in danger like this every day, never knowing if or when they would make it back home alive.

The groom is a police officer, so the bride felt compelled to give a speech during the wedding addressing

the importance of respecting those who serve in law enforcement and highlighting the six men who worked with her husband.

‘Since I’ve gotten to know James, I’ve developed a profound regard for the work that these guys perform every day,’ she added.

We applaud these men and women in uniform for putting on a brave face before each shift and risking their life for total strangers who

may never know how much of a difference even a small favor from one of these men and women in uniform made in their lives.

The bride continued, saying that the grooms were not cardboard cutouts but rather actual people with families and feelings.

She spoke at length about the dangers they encounter on the job and the sacrifices they make to ensure the safety of the public.

The emotional bride fought back tears as she shared her plans to do a nice deed at the wedding in the hopes of encouraging her guests to be kinder.

She proceeded by adding she had purchased Dunkin’ Donuts gift cards for each guest at the wedding for

$3 so that everyone who saw a police officer on their way to the reception could buy them a cup of coffee.

Even if it’s meant as a small expression of appreciation, the effects of the gesture will be felt far beyond the immediate community.
