In 2019, Cassandra Turner Nelson and Donnell Cross from Georgia, USA, went to the Walmart mall, not yet suspecting that they would soon become real stars.
However, both turned out to have just a wonderful voice, and their joint improvisation in the middle of the store soon attracted the attention of customers.
Everyone liked their singing so much that the duet members were even invited to the Strahan, Sara & KeKe show, where they repeated their number.

Cassandra, daughter of pastor and singer Norris Turner, was looking for canned vegetables on the long store shelves and listening to music on her headphones.
Then she still did not suspect how unusually this everyday shopping trip would end. At first, she did not even notice the man opposite,
who was also busy looking for the products he needed. And all of a sudden he was inspired—or, as he later reported on The Strahan Show,
‘a little drunk,’ so he told his buddy that he was going to ‘play a prank on that woman.’

No sooner said than done. Donnell approached the stranger and addressed her with an unusual question does she know the song If This World Were Mine by Luther Vandross and Cheryl Lynn.
And having received a positive answer, he immediately began to sing it. His voice turned out to be exactly like that of the legendary singer who once performed this song.
Cassandra appreciated the stranger’s vocal abilities, and then, encouraged by Donnel, decided to join this impromptu concert. The duet was a success,
and soon a crowd began to gather around the singers. Many visitors to the store had their phones with them, so what was happening was recorded on video.
Having successfully overcome the climax of their favorite song, the singers ended their performance, and after that they hugged tightly.

But the story didn’t end there either. The store-bought recording eventually caught the eye of several celebrities, and the names of these talented singers soon became known.
They were eventually even invited to take part in the Strahan, Sara & KeKe show. The organizers paid Cassandra
and Donnell all the expenses for the trip to New York, and the show itself took place in the famous Apollo Concert Hall.
The success of the performers and the song they chose, recorded during the heyday of rhythm and blues, may indicate the existence of an
underlying trend in modern musical culture – a longing for the ‘good old’ music that was popular in the 80s and 90s of the last century.
Judging by the comments on this video in social networks, many people today miss the ‘real’music, recorded without the use of the latest technology.
