Single father to adopt five small children at once brothers and sisters…The reason will warm your heart.Video

Not all heroes wear superhero capes. Sometimes they just decide to quietly change someone’s life.

One such person is Lamont Thomas, who last year decided to adopt five siblings at once in Buffalo, New York.

The reason for this was simple: otherwise these kids, who were all between the ages of one and five, would have been separated from each other.

Lamont Thomas has always wanted to help children. On October 17, 2019, he proved this once again by adopting

five children brothers and sisters. After the adoption was completed, Lamont became the proud father of 12 children.

The ages of Lamont’s adopted children were 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1, as reported here by ABC News in 2019.

Prior to this adoption, the single father had seven more children. That’s not counting the dozens of foster children he’s taken care of over the past 20 years.

Lamont’s path to parenthood began in 2000 when he secured custody of a friend’s child. Lamont also has two biological children, Anthony and Lamonica.

In 2007, Lamont adopted twins Jermaine and Tremaine, and later Jamie and Herman. After that,

Lamont adopted Michael the very first child over whom the man had guardianship, according to ABC News.

Lamont never abandoned a single child. He either supports them until they grow up and get on their feet, or can return to their families, or he himself officially adopts them.

Lamont thought that he would no longer adopt children, until he learned that the children of one of his

former wards needed a family so that they would not be separated. As he told in Good Morning America 2019/a>:

‘They lived in four different houses, in four cities… They deserve to be close to their brothers and sisters, and that’s what I fought for.’

5-year-old Zendaya, 4-year-old Jamel, 3-year-old Nakia, 2-year-old Major and 1-year-old Michaela ended up in four different houses.

This broke Lamont’s heart and he decided that the siblings should stay together.

Small children give Lamont energy and he is so happy that he can provide for them. We hope his story will inspire others to think about raising children in need.
