Maria sang well and worked all her life as a piano teacher. Music has always served as a consolation for her, this did not change even before her death.
That is why Maria, already on her deathbed, asked one of her former students, who by chance got a job as a nurse in the very hospital where she spent her last days, to sing her favorite song.

During her long career, Maria managed to work with hundreds of different students. Many children with very different destinies passed through her hands,
now grown up and living all over America, and some of them even managed to reach heights in this life.
It was fate that one of her students got a job as an orderly in the same hospital where she spent the last days of her life.
Joshua attended Maria’s classes when he was only 9 years old. The teacher and the student then managed to
find a common language on the basis of love for music, which they both carried through their whole lives.
Music can give strength and make a person listen to the feelings of other people. Joshua managed to surround Mary with
warmth and love in the very last hours of her life. And the video in which he sings for his former music teacher can move you to tears.

Maria asked Joshua to sing her a song called How Great Thou Art, a church hymn that has given her comfort and strength throughout her life.
Joshua sings beautifully, for which, perhaps, we should thank Maria. He agreed to fulfill the last wish of the dying.
Of course, Joshua tried his best and tried to use all the skills he acquired as a child, feeling that his dying teacher fully deserved such dedication.

During the singing, Joshua stood next to Mary. Already after the first sounds of her favorite song, she was able to relax a little.
Music can really comfort a person. Joshua did a good deed and managed to see off his teacher with dignity.
Sadly, Maria died just a few hours after this video was taken. One can only hope that Joshua’s singing was able to console her and show her that life was not in vain.
Sooner or later we are all destined to die. Perhaps, instead of being afraid of her, it is worth living your lives as selflessly and inspired as Mary did,
and then just leave in peace. Although Maria is no longer with us, hundreds of her students around the world
remember and appreciate their teacher, and the knowledge they gave her has already passed on to the next generation of children.
