Many of the well-known poems and works of literature that we read today were written many years ago by authors who, most likely,
had no idea how many people their work would influence in the future. If famous poets or authors hadn’t had their work published,
history might have been very different. Probably with this in mind, a woman gave a gift to her grandfather that he would always treasure.
His granddad’s endearing emotional response to the surprise is captured in a wonderful video clip that
@sophiamarislove shared on TikTok. She surprised him with his own work, but it is published and widely available.

‘My grandpa told me he’d always wanted to publish but never got the chance due to poverty,’ she said in the description.
I released it for him after learning that you could publish for free on Amazon. He was overjoyed.
The book probably attracted more viewers than the 705 who saw the video. ‘Grandad finally gets published after 50 years!’ read the overlay text.
When his granddaughter delivers him a book in the video, the grandfather is seen sitting on the couch. He randomly flips through it and inquires,
‘Where did you get this?’ She responds, ‘I had Mama send them to me and then I published it.’ ‘You wrote it?’ he inquires.
She explains that he wrote those words. Oh, it’s that? I’m grateful. This is so cute. I’ll put my glasses on now.
He puts on his spectacles and says, ‘You put this together for me. His daughter tells him again as he reads it, ‘You’re now a published author, Dad. On Amazon, people can purchase your book.

He says, ‘Did you like my poems?’ as he begins to cry a little while reading, and he is answered emphatically with ‘Yes!’
He jokingly asks, ‘I can get profits for this?’ and is informed that he will get 70% of the profits.
While struggling to stand up, he tries to give his granddaughter a firm embrace. ‘I’m grateful, baby. I’m telling you that I love you.
He says, ‘I can’t stop crying’ and starts reading his published work while crying in shock. The title of the book,
which the poster revealed in the comments, is ‘Musings of a Younger Man.’ People expressed compassion
and love for the elderly in the comments area. ‘I’m sobbing,’ wrote @person39711. ‘Sweet,’ @theresaciaravino added.
