To save a puppy, a girl poses as being hurt, but what occurs next could surprise you.

At the Evans Creek campsite in Washington State, Amanda Guarascio and Dylan Parkinson made the decision to try to save a stray and starving dog.

It would take some time and a lot of creativity to complete their rescue operation, but it all paid off in the end.

Make the homeless dog feel bad for the clever pair so that he will learn how they managed to capture the animal.

Amanda detailed the events that resulted in Baby Bear’s rescue on Facebook:

He was there, Amanda wrote, ‘sitting in a tiny turn-off on the side of the road exactly where the girl said she had seen him.

After hearing about him, Dylan and I traveled over last night. ‘We tried to bribe him with food for an hour, but it didn’t work.’

They left and came back carrying a bag of hot dogs, staying close to him the entire night. They left at three in the morning and came back the next day with a new plan.

We’ve decided to call the pup Bear (okay, Baby Bear), so I sat down on the ground and turned my back to him, Amanda recalled. ‘I gently started creeping backward towards where he was sleeping.’

She gave the impression of being hurt so Baby Bear might approach her.

I started whimpering and yawning, which is a calming signal, and I got closer and closer until I was lying down on the precious,

tiny Baby Bear. He took me under his wing and at one point got up to try to find our shelter because he thought I was a poor human girl with no survival skills.

It worked out well! He was within Amanda’s reach, and she even picked him up!

‘I was forced to carry him everywhere!’ We cuddled till we arrived to the veterinarian after I had

to take him up and load him into the truck. I had to carry him inside once more, the entire 57 pounds of him.

Baby Bear was sent to Useless Bay Sanctuary, where a kind foster home was found for him.
He quickly found his forever home with a great family.

It’s a lovely happy ending because to Amanda and Dylan’s kindness. They gave their time and energy freely in order to save a life!
