Slade Thompson, who is now five years old, regrettably frequently ends himself in the hospital because of his health issues.

The young youngster once awoke after surgery to find himself alone himself in the room. His mother was nowhere to be found when he called for her. Slade cried out in fear and with bitterness.

Nurse Annie Hager overheard the infant weeping as she walked by the room at that same moment. She entered to

see how he was doing and to learn more. Slade admitted to her that he needed a hug because he was hurting and terrified.

Annie was unable to decline the child’s request. She entered his bed and gave him a firm embrace. The boy eventually relaxed and went to sleep.

His mother soon entered the room again and witnessed this endearing scene. She was so moved by it that she snapped a snapshot of them, which quickly went viral on social media.

Slade came to say farewell to Nurse Annie when it was time for him to be released from the hospital.

He praised her for her generosity and presented her with a massive bouquet of flowers. When Annie was unable to control her tears, she started crying as well.

‘Since kindness is free, why not extend it to others?’ Annie cried.
