Since its creation in 1994, Disturbed has been around for a long and built a sizable fan base. Frontman David Draiman
has contributed to the band’s success since he joined in 1996, elevating it to the status of one of the top metal bands.
The heavy metal band, which debuted in 2000 with ‘The Sickness,’ startled many in 2016 when they performed a song that was completely at odds with their customary sound.

During a live performance on ‘Conan’ in 2016, Disturbed gave ‘The Sound of Silence,’ the band’s hallmark song, a fantastic cover.
Since the song’s debut in 1965, Disturbed wasn’t the only band to perform a cover of it. According to Smithsonian Magazine, the folk-rock tune has been covered more than 60 times.
Draiman presented a remarkable performance on the ‘Conan’ stage as he converted Simon and Garfunkel’s folk-rock smash into something completely new,
accompanied by a jam-packed string ensemble, a piano, and two enormous kettledrums. Some people found it
to be even more endearing than the original. Before he took the stage, the leader of Disturbed had a different experience.
He said to Hammer, ‘I did have serious concerns going in.’ ‘I recall playing the tune very covertly and nervously

for a few of my friends and coworkers before it was released. ‘Don’t be, this is magic,’ they said.
On the day of the performance, he recalled, ‘The other guys were messing around, and here I am pacing like a maniac, trying to warm up, and praying, praying, praying.’
On August 21, 2023, a video of Draiman stopping a performance to soothe a young girl the band had startled
went viral on TikTok. This attracted further attention to him. For more information, keep reading.
When Draiman did something unique, many people were surprised. He stopped midway through his Take Back Your Life Tour performance to console a young concertgoer in the front row.
On August 21, 2023, Disturbed uploaded a TikTok video that captured the moment the rock star approached the young girl.
‘I’m really proud with you. You’re great, the boy told the girl.
He first enquired as to her wellbeing before discovering that her name was Sophia. The lead vocalist then invited the crowd to introduce themselves to her.

The little girl started crying when Draiman requested her to come forward because he noticed how enthusiastically she sang along to every song he lead.
‘It’s alright, sweetie, it’s alright. I wasn’t trying to frighten you. Are you all right? You swear?’
He questioned, blushing, and then said, ‘Oh, darling, you’re making me feel terrible now,’ and chuckled. The main singer then ascended the barrier to address the entire audience.
‘See, I truly adore the fact that Disturbed performances have turned into family gatherings. I adore it, he declared.
He noted that his 9-year-old son was also watching the concert, and that the young girl was devotedly
observing Disturbed’s performances. Draiman stressed that despite their differences in upbringing
and preferences, the audience was one. He then turned to face his young supporter, telling her:
In addition, dear, we can be dim. I’ll let you in on a little secret, though. You can sometimes see the light while it’s dark.
Disturbed also uploaded the video to Instagram with the following caption: At a Disturbed show, everyone is welcomed, embraced, and loved.
