The sons of identical twin sisters who married identical twin brothers and had children at the same time have been proven to be genetic brothers as well as cousins.
Jax and Jett, who are identical twins from Virginia and only three months apart, are the offspring of Josh and Jeremy Salyers, also identical twins, and Briana and Brittany Deane.
As ‘quaternary twins,’ who share the same DNA, Jax, who will turn one in April, and Jett, who turned one in January, are genetic brothers and cousins.
The family’s 219,000 Instagram followers were surprised when they learned about it through their shared page.
Numerous people submitted comments expressing their surprise, and some gave an explanation in response.
‘Identical twins share the same DNA,’ one person stated. The children of two sets of identical twins are genetically related.

Fraternal twins are born from distinct eggs and sperm, whereas identical twins share the exact same genetic material, including the egg and sperm.

Josh’s wife and Jett’s mother Brittany confirmed the fans’ theory in an interview with NBC News, asserting that the boy’s unique situation causes them to be more closely related than ordinary cousins.
The gorgeous picture Brittany shared on Instagram on January 21, 2021, announcing the birth of their baby Jett Salyers,
was captioned by Josh, the relieved father: Brittany performed a fantastic job with her delivery. I’m thrilled to be Jett’s father and am very proud of them both.
After a few months, Briana and Jeremy followed suit and shared a photo of their brand-new son Jax Salyers.
I am extremely proud of my beautiful wife, Briana, and how well she did, wrote Jeremy in a post.
She did a wonderful job and was so brave and powerful. That our boys will develop together makes me grateful.
I feel like I’m Jett’s parent, and I believe Josh feels the same way about Jax, said Jeremy. Since we are all parenting the children together, it feels like one big family.
Sharing money isn’t a problem because the four of them have a joint bank account, Briana said, adding that the house’s bedrooms and closets have been a major, major challenge.
