More than half a million people expressed their support and gratitude to the athletes for their desire to win.

A very commendable move on his part…

Lovlo Shandik, a friend of attacker Rebić, told reporters that Ante paid the loans taken by his fellow

villagers from his own pocket.Immediately paid for all 500 residents of his native village of Imotski.

Rebic was born and raised in a small village near the city of Split. At the age of 19, he left his homeland to play in the Italian ‘Fiorentina’.

He always performed well. For example, he scored a goal in the 2017-2018 German Cup. It was Rebić who scored

a double in the match against ‘Bavaria’. This gave his team a sensational victory, the first in 30 years.

But, becoming a successful athlete and a popular person, Ante did not forget his roots. Whenever possible, he helps the people he is related to in his native land.
