Legendary skaters Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean performed a stunning routine to ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’ at the Dancing On Ice Championships.

Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean are legendary British figure skaters who won the world title at the 1984 Olympic Games in Sarajevo.
According to the BBC, for this performance they were awarded the highest mark from the judges in the history of this sport.
The couple managed to get 12 maximum (6.0) marks for their program to the music of M. Ravel ‘Bolero’.
Despite the fact that many years have passed since then, they still continue to perform on the ice.

For example, the couple periodically performs their programs in the series “Dancing on Ice” – despite the fact that both are already over sixty.
Their rooms are still distinguished by their exceptional smoothness and cleanliness, because thanks to
many years of joint practice they feel each other perfectly. In a recent interview with The Mirror, Christopher said:
‘Yes, we feel like we’ve aged 35 years. After you reach a certain age, everything starts going downhill.
Now for us, any performance together could be our last.’ And then he added: ‘That’s why every performance is like an additional bonus.
You inevitably become sentimental. We really like performing together, so now every time we go on the ice is filled with emotions.’

It should be noted that the age of the skaters was not at all noticeable during their program to the Simon & Garfunkel song ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water.’
Although they failed to win then, soon after their performance it was announced that this time James Jordan managed to win the palm, The Sun reports.

It’s very nice to see these amazing skaters on the ice again. Even today they can surprise audiences with a couple of very impressive tricks, ranging from support to joint spins.
They once again managed to put on a wonderful and magical performance, this time together with a whole team of skaters. See it for yourself!
