BooBoo’s parents had nearly given hope after their cherished cat went missing for over a year.

When their dog BooBoo went missing while on a brief excursion away from their home in the Edmonton area, Vanore Voaklander and her husband took precautions.

They searched the neighborhood parks, put up signs, and provided a prize. But they were still unable to locate their cat.

‘We received leads from a variety of neighborhoods. We would race there only to discover that the cat had disappeared.

However, according to Global News, Darren Labelle, a tow truck driver, noticed BooBoo sauntering

around close to his store, which is about 10 miles from his house, and it looked to come out of nowhere.

Labelle gradually began providing BooBoo with food and a place to stay inside. The cat, according to her, appeared ‘sick, dirty, and beat up.’

He literally jumped up on us, headbutted you, and laid on my keyboard as I tried to work, according to Labelle. I understood that this cat needed to be domesticated.

After being lost for a year, Alberta was returned to her owners.

He did this by uploading a photo of BooBoo to a Facebook page for abandoned pets. The Voaklanders were on

their way to retrieve their cherished cat, who they claim slept nonstop for three days after returning home, within an hour.

Not every hero dons a cape. Get to know the volunteers. People like this are what the world needs. We’ll always be appreciative.

They may never learn the truth, but they believe that BooBoo was taken and then abandoned. Still, they returned to thank Labelle and presented her with gifts and a $1,000 award.

Initially reluctant to accept the money, Labelle has decided to put it to use by providing food for some of the other stray cats who have visited his store in search of new homes.
