When the 101-year-old grandma finally got to meet her grandchild, she was happy.

She chose to have another child even though she already had six stepchildren, five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

When the old woman first laid eyes on her great-granddaughter, the pictures were taken.

The baby was the first grandchild in seventy-five years for the family.

On December 21, 2021, Gwen Smith, 101, noticed Maeva, who was born on November 24, 2021, in her bedroom at the Dene Holm care facility in Northfleet, Kent, Britain.

Gwen held her stunning daughter tightly while several generations of her family witnessed the moment. The Smiths were present to observe them in action.

Once Gwen fell in love with Maeva, she couldn’t take her gaze off of her.The Smiths described having five generations present at the event as ‘a once in a lifetime opportunity.’

The Smiths thanked the care home staff for letting them visit despite the flu pandemic.

A few days later, in February 2022, Gwen celebrated her 101st birthday. The Smiths report that she was thrilled to have a new family member join the group.
