Blue Bell, California resident Marguerite Koller will reach 100 years old in a few months, and she recently celebrated the birth of her 100th great-grandchild.
Recently, a 100-year-old woman from Pennsylvania welcomed the birth of her 100th great-grandchild. A 99-year-old grandmother
who desired a large family met her 100th great-grandchild this month. In a few months, Blue Bell resident Marguerite Koller will turn 100.
She also just welcomed Koller William into the world. She is the mother of 11 children, 100 great-grandchildren, and 56 grandkids.
As she held her recently born great-grandchild, William, named after her, the American woman stated, ‘I am just thinking about how lucky I am,’ according to People.
Her family has said in the past that she tries her hardest to be present for every graduation and baptism.
Christine Balster, her granddaughter, reportedly told a local TV station that her grandmother ‘has created an amazing legacy spanning through generations,’ according to the Daily Mail.

Conversely, Marguerite had thought about going to a monastery and becoming a nun. She applied to enter the communal convent while she was a junior in high school,
but William Koller of Manayunk ‘talked me out of it,’ according to a 2015 interview she gave to 6 ABC, according to the Daily Mail.
Marguerite was determined to have a large family ever since she gave birth to their first child during the Baby Boom, which followed World War II.
US’s largest family
The American woman said to 6 ABC, “l’I think it is difficult being an only child—it is lonely.’ She further said, “I wanted to have a big family.’
According to the Daily Mail, she said that although she had originally planned to have twelve children, she ‘was not sure I wanted that many” after having them. Rather,
she made her selection from 11 children born over almost 20 years. In addition to 100 great-grandchildren, she has 56 grandchildren.

Since her husband’s passing in 2008, she has attributed her hectic schedule and sense of blessing to her huge family on each holiday.
In order to honor both of her grandparents, Christine Balster, Marguerite’s granddaughter and the mother of
the 100th great-grandchild, said that she and her husband, Patrick, intended to name their newborn son after them.
‘My husband liked the name Kole, and it felt very natural to name him Koller with William as the middle name,’ she said to NBC Philadelphia.
